“ Went with friends for a roast lunch. It was a cold windy day and the pub was so warm and welcoming. Very busy but after being shown to our table, we settled by the wood burner. Ordered some drinks and 3 roast beef, and 1 roast chicken with 2 side portions of cauliflower cheese. All was hot, and my chicken was succulent and plenty of crispy roast potatoes, roast parsnip, a huge yorkie, a selection of veg, and ample hot gravy. The cauliflower cheese was perfect, creamy, hot and bubbling with truffle oil and crispy bits! Perfect accompaniment l to the roast. My partner struggled to cut his beef, it was too rare, so we told 2 members of staff. Then ordered 2 Sticky toffee puddings, which were the best I've ever eaten, good size, loads of hot, toffee sauce with a creamy scoop of ice cream! The best!!! Will go back as the best Sunday for a long time. Thank you Dukes Head! ”
